Development of Summit Interior Nearing Completion

Availability of Executive Interior Provides Full Range of Choice for Customers

October 22, 2013, Las Vegas, NV….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce that development work on its Summit Executive interior is nearly complete, with the first installation scheduled for later this year. The interior, which will feature club seating, is a derivative of the Timberline interior. Earlier this year, Quest certified new enhanced Timberline and Tundra interiors, which have been installed in all new KODIAKs since April.

“We have been committed to providing a full range of interiors for the KODIAK since its inception,” said Sam Hill, President and CEO of Quest. “As interest from corporate users and others has grown, the time is right to move ahead with the executive interior. The new Timberline certainly provides a comfortable cabin for all types of missions, but the Summit takes us to the next level with club seating, new cabinetry and other amenities.”

The Summit offers customers rugged refinement, while still providing the reliability and versatility the KODIAK is known for. The base Tundra interior is the most utilitarian, but still incorporates many of the amenities of the Timberline and Summit, including restyled cockpit seats. All three interiors are available in a warm beige and cool gray color scheme.

“We are very excited that the Summit interior will now be available,” said Steve Zinda, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. “With new cabin chairs, tables, cabinetry and other amenities that customers can choose from, the Summit is a true executive interior. We are working toward certification in late first quarter 2014. In addition to being available for new KODIAKs next year, the Summit can also be installed in existing KODIAKs with minor modifications.”

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs. and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, the company was established in 2001 and began deliveries of the KODIAK in December 2007. In September, the 100th KODIAK was delivered.
