Quest Begins Deliveries of KODIAK to China
Five Aircraft Will be Delivered This Year
October 22, 2013, Las Vegas, NV….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce that it has delivered the first two KODIAKs to China. Blue Eagle Aviation Google+ took delivery of the aircraft at the end of September, and they are being ferried to China this month. Three additional aircraft will be delivered in November.
“This is major achievement for Quest and our international growth,” said Steve Zinda, Vice-President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. “Having KODIAKs in operation in China will raise awareness of the aircraft and its capabilities, which in turn will enhance our sales efforts in this part of the world.”
The KODIAK received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in late July. The KODIAK is currently certified in 13 countries, with several imminent certifications pending.
“China and the entire Asia-Pacific Rim offer strong market potential for the KODIAK, as the multi-mission capability and efficiency of the aircraft are well-suited to this region,” Zinda continued. “We announced the sale of 12 KODIAKs to Blue Eagle at last year’s NBAA Convention, and we are very excited that soon five of those aircraft will be in service.”
Quest has seen strong market acceptance in key market segments, including personal use, Part 135 operations, government, and humanitarian organizations. The company has also developed a special mission KODIAK, the Air Claw™, in conjunction with Northrop Grumman, which recently received FAA Certification.
The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs. and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.
Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability.
