Quest Receives Certification for New Summit Executive Interior

KODIAK with New Interior on Display at EAA AirVenture

July 28, 2014, Oshkosh, WI….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce the certification of its new Summit Executive interior. A KODIAK with the new interior is on display at EAA AirVenture in the Quest booth (#263-264). The top-of-the-line five-place interior features club seating, two fold-out tables and two easy-access storage cabinets. The Summit is derivative of the Timberline interior.

The all-leather, fully adjustable seats include a full recline function as well as individual tracking systems for additional legroom, adjustable headrests and fold down arm rest. A sixth cabin seat for additional seating is available as an option.

“The certification of the Summit gives customers a complete range of interior levels to complement just about any mission,” said Sam Hill, President and CEO of Quest. “We know from listening to the marketplace that the Summit will be a popular choice for many operators, and we are pleased to offer even more interior options for customers to consider.” The Summit is available on new KODIAKs coming off the production line and can also be installed in existing KODIAKs with minor modifications. Several KODIAKs with the Summit interior are already on order.

Last year, Quest enhanced both the Timberline and Tundra interiors. The changes included refining the headliner to give the cabin a more open feel and replacing the Kydex panels with composite panels, contributing to a weight reduction and improving the useful load. Several other new amenities, which are also incorporated in the Summit, were added to the Timberline, including storage pockets in the sidewall beside each chair and cupholders, both in the cabin and the cockpit. In addition, the Summit features two storage cabinets with a combined 2.5 cubic feet of space and includes removable ice bins, thermos provisions and vertical storage for maps and other materials. All three interiors are available in a warm beige and cool gray color scheme and have upgraded cockpit seats that offer an improved headrest and center pedestal closeouts.

The KODIAK embodies rugged versatility. It has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs. and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Quest Aircraft Company, headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Since beginning customer deliveries in late 2007, the KODIAK has been deployed around the world in a variety of applications. For more information, please visit www.questaircraft.com.
